Army soldier’s house looted on New Year’s day

A gang of thieves had entered through a rear window of an Army soldier’s house when he was out of his residence, with his family, on New Year’s day, and stole his motorcycle and gold jewellery worth over Rs. 12 lakhs, Galewela Police said.

According to the police, this house is located in a lonely place near Thalakiriyagama village tank.

In this connection, no one was arrested so far. Galewela Police are conducting further investigations.
