Ashan stamps his class at Katukurunda

Ashan Silva won both race 1 and race 2 for SLGT Cars up to 3500cc to be named the Best Driver at Nippon Paint Katukurunda Speed 2022 on Sunday (4th) Ushan Perera was second in both races while third spot went to Ishraq Wahab in race one and Abeeth Dangalla in race two.

Ashan who won the first edition held in 2021 re wrote the record books establishing the fastest lap time of 58.982 seconds for the course at this years event.

Nippon Paints- Katukurunda Speed 2022 was Organised and conducted by Sri Lanka Automobile sports (SLAS) together with all ten affiliated clubs and the Sri Lanka Air Force.

SLAS has pledged to donate Rupees One Million from the revenue of the race to the Indira Cancer Trust.
