Assault on SDIG: Two bailed out

The two suspects who were arrested in connection with the attack on Western Province Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon have been released on bail by Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The suspects, who have been identified through CCTV footage as assaulting the senior DIG, were produced before  Court for an identification parade.

After the suspects were produced at an identification parade, two witnesses to the assault had identified them. Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and two have been released on bail.
