The new born who had fallen to the ground during delivery at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital and was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit for several days died yesterday (13), the child’s mother Thakshila Udayangani said. The child’s mother said that her baby fell on the ground due to the absence of a nurse during delivery and then a nurse who rushed to the place had taken her child to the Intensive Care Unit. The mother said her baby died after receiving treatment in the intensive care unit for three days.
