Bakeer Markar’s ‘Sithamu’ column collection launch on August 10

Sithamu, a collection of columns written by SJB Parliamentarian Imitiaz Bakeer Markar to a national news paper will be launched on August 10 at 4 p.m. at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

Parliamentarian Bakeer Markar who had rendered tremendous service to the people in the Kalutara district by holding a number of portfolios in previous governments has written this book with an intention of uplifting the society. Bakeer Markar who has authored more than five books covering many subjects is the son of former Speaker and one time Southern Province Governor M. A. Bakeer Markar. He is an old boy of Ananda College, Colombo. A 50 per cent discount will be offered for those purchasing the book on this day.
