Hasaranga ended up as the Man-of-the-Match in the third and final T20I at the R. Premadasa Stadium and was also named Player-of-the-Series as Sri Lanka beat India 2-1 to register their maiden series win in this format.
“The wicket was slow, and our spinners bowled really well,” the leg-spinner, who was celebrating his 24th birthday, said after claiming career-best figures of four for nine in the third T20I.
“When I bowl, I always try to bowl dot balls. That helped me in getting wickets. The fielders also backed me really well,” Hasaranga added.
“I am really happy because the other players also performed really well throughout the series, both in ODIs and T20Is,” he concluded.
