Boys’ and girls’ singles continue from today

Fifteen boys and ten girls are expected to take part in the All Island Inter-School Under 13 Tennis tournament which will commence today at the SLTA courts.

Initially, this tournament began on May 9, but due to the country’s unexpected situation was postponed and the fixtures are rescheduled for today (29).

According to the senior official of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA), this tournament is more important for the juniors to get much-needed exposure. The tournament will continue until June 4 while finals are scheduled to be played on the final day.

Meanwhile, the under 15 Interschool Tennis tournament final matches were scheduled to be played last Saturday (28) and have been postponed to another date due to bad weather.

The under 15 finals (girls and boys) will be played on June 4concurrently with the under 13 matches on the same day.
