Opting to bat first after winning the toss, The British School faced challenging conditions but managed to post a total of 114 runs in the first innings. All-rounder Shevan Fernando played a crucial role in this effort, contributing a fighting 36 to the team’s score.
The British School’s bowlers showcased skillful performance, defending their modest total effectively. Spinner Abdurrahman Basheer was particularly impressive, claiming a four-wicket haul. As a result, S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, faced difficulties and was bundled out for 55 runs.
