Brombil and Thundola tea factories establish all-time record price

Brombil Tea Factory situated in Pelawatte, managed by Evergreen Group of Companies achieved an all-time record price of Rs. 2,000 per kg for BOPA grade in the Low Grown category at the weekly tea auction held on March 29 to 30, 2022.

The Chairman of Evergreen Group of Companies is Aruna de Silva and Brombil tea factory is managed by lndika Nallapperuma (Director), Senal de Silva (Director), P. P. Y Tyron Rathnayake (manager), Aruna Nilantha (production manager) and K. G. Chamil Ruchira (factory officer).

This tea was purchased by M/S Vintage Teas Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC.

Meanwhile the Thundola Tea Factory situated in Pelawatte, managed by Evergreen Group of Companies achieved an All-time record price of Rs. 5,450 per kg for FBOPFExSp1 grade in the Low Grown category at the weekly tea auction The Chairman of Evergreen Group of Companies is Aruna de Silva and Thundola tea factory is managed by lndika Nallapperuma (Director), K M Tharanga Konara (Manager), Asanka (Factory Officer). This tea was purchased by M/S Akbar Brothers Ltd. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC.
