Budget time travel embargo for Govt. MPs

The government has decided to impose restrictions on foreign travels for Ministers, State Ministers, and Government MPs on sitting days of Parliament and during the Budget debate.

According to the Government Information Department sources the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal forwarded by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardane in this regard. Accordingly, the ministers should not travel abroad during sitting days of parliament and during the Budget debate except in case of urgent medical needs or very urgent work of the government.
