Burglars get away with goods worth more than Rs. 2.7Mn in Kataragama

The Kataragama Police has commenced an investigation into the theft of goods worth more than Rs. 2.7 million, from a closed establishment located in Bodhirajapura area of Kataragama.

Subsequent to breaking open a door in this building belonging to a private company and making their entrance through it, two refrigerators, five electric fans, two rechargeable light bulbs, two cash counting machines, two double wire rolls, 91 plug bases, six television sets and other items had been stolen, the Police said.

According to Police, the theft had taken place between 10:00 p.m. on November 05 and 6:30 a.m. of the next day November 06.
