Cabinet nod for amendments to National Transport Commission Act

The Cabinet of Ministers has granted its consent to publish the amendments to the National Transport Commission Act No. 37 of 1991 in the Government Gazette and submit it for the approval of Parliament as well, Cabinet Spokesman and Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana said.

He was speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing held yesterday at the Government Information Department.

The proposal presented by the Transport and Highways Minister to publish the amendments to the National Transport Commission Act No. 37 of 1991, prepared by the Legal Draftsman and cleared by the Attorney General, in the Government Gazette, will thereafter be tabled in Parliament for its approval.
