Caryl Tozer to contest for Netball Presidency

The Deputy President of the Western Province Netball Association Caryl Tozer has come forward to contest the President post of the National Netball Federation at the election which is scheduled to be held on May 31 at the Sports Ministry Auditorium.

Former National Netball player Caryll played for Ceylon schools team against England. Having played for the Sri Lanka team against Seychelles in Seychelles in 1976 she also got a chance to play against Singapore and the British Speed birds team. She is still playing Netball for the Masters team. She represented the 2002 World Masters Netball team in Melbourne and won the silver medal at the Pan Asia Masters Games in Penang, Malaysia.

Caryl won the gold medal at the New Zealand Masters Netball tournament in 2019.

She was the former Treasurer and Vice President of the Western Province Netball Association and presently is the Deputy President of the same Association. She is a member of the National Olympic Committee activity involved with the Sexual Harassment Policy Complaints Committee and is also a recipient of the appreciation certificate from the International Olympic Council (IOC).

The former member of the Netball selection committee Caryl was proposed for the President post by the Western Province Netball Association and she is very keen to take up this challenge to uplift Sri Lanka Netball. Having Management Degree in USA Carylwanted to change the system of the Netball Administration.

This is the first time Caryl will contest for the Netball top post. Caryl also said I want to get support from others to win the election.
