Case against Ven. Gnanasara Thera on February 15

The case filed against Bodubala Sena Leader, Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera for making a statement at a press conference that violated inter-ethnic and religious harmony was yesterday fixed for defence evidence on February 15, 2024 by the Colombo High Court.

When the case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Adithya Patabendige, the prosecution informed court that they concluded the case as the prosecution. The case was fixed for the defence evidence on February 15, 2024 by the Colombo High Court.The case was filed by the Attorney General under two counts following a complaint lodged by Azad Salley against a controversial statement made by Ven.Gnanasara at a press conference on March 30, 2016.
