CDPLC appoints Nakabe as Chairman

Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) has appointed current Director, Takashi Nakabe as the Chairman (Non Executive) of the company.

This will be with effect from July 26, 2024, in terms of the Articles of Association of the Company. He was appointed to the Board in March 2010. He replaces Hideaki Tanaka who was appointed as the Chairman of Colombo Dockyard PLC from March 26, 2019.

CDPLC operates in joint collaboration with Onomichi Dockyard Company Limited of Japan, with a 35% stake held by Sri Lankan government institutions. With nearly five decades of operation, CDPLC is a front runner in Sri Lanka industrialization.
