CEB clears hurdle to connect South power line
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the family which owns the tea estate, through which power cables have to be laid to connect the Southern Province to the main transmission line of the CEB came to a settlement at the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) yesterday.
Accordingly, the family members have given their consent to the CEB to carry out cableing activities without claiming compensation at the discussion held at the PUCSL. Then the CEB is able to complete the necessary activities within six days.
