Celebrations to mark International Olympic Day 2022

The 74th annual Olympic Day Run organised by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) to mark the International Olympic Day celebrations was worked off at the NOC headquarters yesterday.
Sri Lanka Olympic Silver medal winner Susanthika Jayasinghe and three-time Badminton Olympian Niluka Karunaratne were among the athletes who took the Olympic torch in the Olympic Day Run from Independence Square.
The France Ambassador of Sri Lanka Eric Lavertu was the Chief Guest on this occasion while Sports Ministry Secretary Anuradha Wijekoon, Director General of Sports Amal Edirisooriya, NOC President Suresh Subramaniam, and NOC Secretary Maxwell de Silva graced the occasion as special guests.
