Ceylon Chamber channels support donation of Oxygen Delivery Devices to NIID
Due to the third wave of COVID-19 pandemic with the emergence of the Delta variant, in recognition of an urgent need to extend support to the National Institute of Infections Disease (NIID), which serves as the national focal point for clinical management of infectious diseases, the Ceylon Chamber solicited assistance from the private sector to provide Oxygen Delivery Devices to the NIID Colombo. As a result of the request made, the following organizations generously extended their prompt support by donating items worth Rs. 7.4 million.
Two Non-Invasive Ventilators were donated by the Consolidated Business Systems Ltd. and the Jafferjee Brothers.
Four High Flow Nasal Oxygen Therapy Machines were donated by the Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM) – 02 units, the National Development Bank and the HSBC Sri Lanka.
