CH and FC and Defence Warriors hockey teams to tour Oman
Two teams namely Colombo Hockey and Football Club (CH and FC) and Defence Warriors hockey team left for Oman to participate in a series of matches on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between Sri Lanka and Sultanate of Oman will be staged at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat on December 28 and 29 respectively.
On a request made by the Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Oman in collaboration with the Oman Hockey Association, these friendly matches will be played among the teams from both countries in two days which will also strengthen the bilateral ties in the sports arena too.

The Defence Warriors team consist of players from Army, Air Force, Navy and Sri Lanka Hockey Federation Kamala Pushpakumara is also accompanying the teams and is scheduled to meet his Oman counterpart to review their ties.
He is also to gain some assistance to develop the game in the country.
