Chandimal and Dhananjaya receive special caps

Two Sri Lanka cricketers Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva were given a special cap by Sri Lanka Cricket to mark their milestone Test matches (75th of Chandimal ) and (50th of Dhananjaya).

The Special cap was handed over to Chandimal by former skipper Angelo Mathews yesterday before the commencement of the second day’s play of the ongoing Test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

With the ongoing second test match, Chandimal is also playing his 300th international match across all formats while he was most successful at Test cricket in this historic Galle International Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile all rounder Dhananjaya De Silva was given a special cap by Sri Lanka Cricket to mark the playing of his 50th Test match. This was a memorable 50th test match for all rounder Dhananjaya de Silva who scored his 10th Test hundred. The fighting knock of 122 made Sri Lanka to reach healthy position at first innings while Sri Lanka were all out for 312.

Dhananjaya’s cap was handed over by Captain Dimuth Karunaratne yesterday morning before the commencement of the second day of play of the ongoing Test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
