Chicken feather inside cake – PHI unconcerned

A large chicken feather was found inside a cake bought by a resident of Kilinochchi from a restaurant in the city on 20 Aug.

The customer has reported this incident to the Kilinochchi Public Health Inspection office.

But the residents of Kilinochchi said that health officials are not taking strict action against the vendors on this serious matter despite the fact that various substances have been found mixed with food items in restaurants in Kilinochchi.

Due to this situation, the people of Kilinochchi have accused the vendors of trying to sell food items that are unfit for human consumption in the restaurants of Kilinochchi.
