CID questions Dulanjali, Hirunika and Hakeem over July 9 incidents
The Criminal Investigation Department, probing the arson attack on President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private residence at Kollupitiya Fifth Lane on July 9, has questioned Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa’s sister Dulanjali Premadasa, former MP Hirunika Premachandra and Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauf Hakeem.
Premadasa and Premachandra were interrogated for about five hours on Saturday. According to the information of the Criminal Investigation Department, the two were questioned about protesting in front of the President’s private residence and urging people to gather at that place. The Criminal Investigation Department recorded a statement from Hakeem on Friday 19th.
A statement had been recorded from Hakeem regarding a statement he made regarding the arson attack.
