CID receives Genetech report of Schaffter’s mother’s blood sample

Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday (22) ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to submit

all the video footage and all photographs taken by the Borella SOCO officers regarding the death of Janashakthi Group Director Dinesh Schaffter to the expert medical committee immediately.

Did Schaffter kill himself? Or was he killed? In order to make a decision regarding the case, it was ordered that the relevant case materials be submitted for the investigations conducted by the five-member expert medical board.

It was revealed in court that the second post-mortem examination of Dinesh Schaffter conducted at the Galle Karapitiya Hospital has been completed and the panel of experts held a two-day round of discussion at the Peradeniya University campus and another three-day discussion was held in Kandy to reach a final conclusion regarding the death.

The incident was recalled yesterday (22) and the Criminal Investigation Department which stated that it had received Genetech reports related to the blood sample of Schaffter’s mother, filed the phone analysis reports obtained within six months before the death of Schaffter to court.
