CID seizes properties, vehicles of four drug sellers

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) took action to seize properties worth Rs.100 million belonging to four suspects arrested from the anti-drug operation “Yukthiya”.

The seized properties included two A/C buses belonging to the criminal named ‘Ladiya’ who is under arrest by Indian Forces, two tipper trucks, two cars and a bus belonging to a person named ‘Hokandara Kudu Shriyani’, who is currently under arrest, a house belonging to a person named ‘Kudu Asanka’, a van and two cars belonging to a person called Suranjan, who is currently hiding in Dubai and a KDH-type van belonging to a person named ‘Galaha Kumara’.

They also suspended a luxury two-story house worth nearly Rs.50 million belonging to a large-scale drug trafficker named ‘Kudu Asanka’ who is currently being held in Boossa prison. His wife has also been arrested by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division.

Police also said that they have sealed a three-storied building in Kiriwattuduwa.

The Police Narcotics Bureau reported about ‘Kudu Asanka’, who is currently being held in the high-security zone of Boossa Prison, to the Illegal Assets Investigation Division according to the information revealed through the investigations.
