CIMA Toastmasters’ Club hosts installation ceremony

The CIMA Toastmasters’ Club held its 17th installation ceremony Manadrina Hotel, Colombo with a large number of Toastmasters fraternity attending it.

The Chief Guest of the event was District Director, Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Nisal Weerakoon while the Guest of Honour was the Country Manager of CIMA Sri Lanka and Maldives, Zahara Ansary. The Program Quality Director of D82, DTM Mahinda Karunakara and Club Growth Director of D82 DTM Ganga Fernando, Immediate Past District Director DTM Srianthie Salgado and The Division Director of Division J DTM Zamani Nazeem were also among the attendees.

District Director, DTM Nisal Weerakoon in his address spoke about “transformation” and the importance of taking steps, small as they maybe towards that goal. He spoke of his own personal journey of Transformation, in both his personal and professional life and how Toastmasters has helped him to succeed.

The Guest of Honour, Zahara Ansary appreciated the contribution CIMA Toastmasters club makes towards grooming and development of CIMA Accountants and pledged the Division’s continuous support to the club.

This tenure TM Minali Fernandopulle takes over the reins of Presidency to lead the club towards more successes and her executive committee comprises of both well seasoned and new fresh faced Toastmasters.

In her speech she spoke on what positive impact Toastmasters has had on her and pledged to continue the good work her predecessors have done.
