Cinnamon Group warns public that person ‘representing’ them is a fraudster

The Cinnamon Group, based in Malaysia, in a media release said they have recently become aware of a fraudulent scheme occurring in Colombo, where an individual claiming to be affiliated with the Group is fraudulently offering employment opportunities in various countries and collecting funds from innocent individuals.

“We want to clarify that this person has no association with Cinnamon Group or any of its subsidiaries. We are deeply concerned by the unauthorized actions of this individual and the false claims of affiliation with our organization,” Abbi Kanthasamy, CEO of Cinnamon Group said.

“We are committed to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and we are taking immediate steps to address this situation,” he added.

The Cinnamon Group further said it has filed a formal police report in Colombo through local connections. The Group added that their internal teams too are working diligently to identify the person responsible for these fraudulent activities. They also urged those who have been approached by this individual to report the encounter to the local police immediately.
