Clerk who sold Court held gas cylinders arrested

The Police has arrested the Court employee who stole 27 gas cylinders from the Kuliyapitiya Court premises which were in custody of the Courts as goods related pending cases.

During the investigations conducted in connection with a complaint related to 54 gas cylinders worth over Rs.400,000 stolen from the Court premises the Police said they arrested a Court clerk along with 27 gas cylinders on Friday evening.

The police said that the suspect had stolen the gas cylinders from time to time and had sold them to gas dealers.
