College of Chemical Sciences releases results of graduating class of 2021

The 39th batch of Graduate Chemists and the first batch of BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science results have been released by the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon, College of Chemical Sciences.

A total of 86 students completed the GIC program, graduating with 1 first-class, 1 second class (upper-division), 9 second class (lower-division) and 75 passes.

“We are pleased to announce that our first batch of BSc (Hons) students in Chemical Science will graduate with a total of 41 graduates, including 6 First Class, 15 Second Class (upper division), 14 Second Class (lower-division) and 6 passes. Additionally, 2 diplomas will be awarded with certificates,” Register (Examination) N. I. N. S. Nadarasa .

The Eighteenth Convocation will be held on September 19, 2022 in the main hall of BMICH. Following are winners of overall excellence award covering all levels of study.

Prof. J.K.P. Ariyaratne Memorial Award for Overall Excellence in Inorganic Chemistry: J.P. Usliyanage (185006), Prof. Leslie Gunathilake Award for Overall Excellence in Organic Chemistry: J.P. Usliyanage (185006), Haniffa Award Overall Excellence in Physical Chemistry: J.P. Usliyanage (185006), Prof. Saman and Asoka Pathirathna Award for Overall Excellence in Analytical Chemistry: R.K.A.I.A Rathnayake(185175).
