Commander’s Cup golf on January 21, 22

The 9th edition of Commander’s Cup-2022, an annual golf tournament for men and women hosted by the Sri Lanka Air Force and Eagles’ Golf Links is scheduled to be held at the picturesque setting of China Bay, close to the Harbour City of Trincomalee on January 21 and 22.

This is the first sporting event of the year organized by the SL Air Force under the guidance of the Commander of the SL Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana to mark their 71st Celebration which falls on March 2. Sri Lanka’s leading connectivity partner Dialog will be powered the Commander’s Cup for the second consecutive year.

This golf tournament has attracted over 100 local and foreign golfers and enthusiasts of the game. Top ranked 78 golfers will vie for the Commander’s Cup and 35 servicemen will clash with each other in Eagle’s Challenge Trophy which is awarded to the best serving player from the Tri Forces in men’s and women’s categories. The tournament will conclude with a grand award ceremony scheduled to be held on January 22 at the same venue.

Trinco Blue by Cinnamon has joined the SL Air Force as the hospitality partner providing exciting offers to participants this year, along with JKAB Beach Resort who have provided their establishment for accommodation for the golfers and their families.
