Consultant Mahela joins SL Team in UAE

Sri Lanka Cricket Team Consultant Mahela Jayawardene joined the national cricketers in Abu Dhabi yesterday in preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Jayawardene was involved with the Mumbai Indians Team as their Head Coach but with the defending champions failing to secure a playoff spot in the Indian Premier League, he will join the team earlier than expected.

Earlier, SLC had announced that Jayawardene will be with the Sri Lanka Team for a 7-day period from October 16 to 23.

But now, the Sri Lankan cricketers will have the service of Jayawardene for nearly two weeks.
