Cop trying to settle dispute injured

A police officer who went to settle a conflict between two parties during a musical show at a hotel in Getambe, Kandy, on Sunday was injured during the clash, a senior officer of the Kandy Police said. The constable, W.M. R. Wanigasekara, was admitted to Peradeniya Hospital for treatment.

The senior police officer further stated that several people were injured in this clash but nothing has been reported to the police in this regard.
