Court allows Prof. Vitharana to be LSSP Secretary

The Colombo District Court yesterday dismissed the censure issued to Prof. Tissa Vitharana preventing him from holding the position of Secretary  of the Sri Lanka Samasamaja Party.

This injunction was issued on July 17 in relation to a case filed by W. Abeysena who is said to have become the Party Secretary.

Colombo District Judge Sandun Vithana, who considered the facts presented by Prof.Tissa Vitharana against the injunction order, dissolved the injunction order and refused the issuance of an interim restraining order.

Accordingly, Prof.Vitharana can continue to hold the position as Party Secretary.
