COVID booster shots to be given to health workers

A COVID 19 vaccine booster shot is to be given to health workers in the forefront of the battle against the virus

According to sources the Director General of Health Services has agreed to a proposal by the Government Medical Officers’ Association to give a third dose of the covid vaccine to health workers at risk in the face of the spread of the virus.

Accordingly, it is proposed to give the third dose 5 months after the second dose.

The agreement was reached during a discussion between the Director General of Health Services and the Government Medical Officers’ Association on Thursday sources said.
