Third year player, All rounder, Right hand opener and Right arm medium pace bowler who opens the attack and a Safe fielder Dahan Chatubasha Dodangoda has brought honour and glory for his alma mater Wadduwa Central College with his deeds in the field of cricket.
Dahan who was born on 29th October 2008 and hails from Wadduwa was admitted to Wadduwa Central College in 2018 when M. Indrajith was at the helm of the school and his first class teacher was Mrs. Chandrani. During his period there were no sports activities in the Primary School but his parents Ajith Dodangoda and Priyangi Deshika Galapaththi made arrangements to admit there son to Wadduwa Cricket Club and when he was in Grade 4 and his father was his first coach.
Then in 2014 Dahan attended the under 13 cricket practices under . Dodangoda and his Master in Charge was . Kenneth. With his performances he was selected to the Kalutara District Team to participate in the Astra Cup.
In the following year he was selected to the under 15 team with ease and his coach was B Danushka and played for two years and in the next year he was appointed as the Vice Captain of the under 17 team and they reached up to pre quarters and in the next year there was no tournament due to Corona.
His under 19 first year too his school had to keep away from cricket due to Coronavi rus and in 2021/22 season they participated in a few matches and this season they played 5 matches in the Limited Over Knockout Tournament and came up to quarter finals and in the due course they will participate in the Traditional Matches. In addition when an Australian under 19 cricket team visited Sri Lanka Wadduwa Central got the opportunity to play a match and it was a good exposure for him and his team mates and also is a member of the Wadduwa Cricket Club Team.
