Devmi Prarthana – pride of Dhammissara National School

Eleven-year-old Devmi Prarthana is a promising volleyball player having represented Dhammissara National School, Nattandiya with distinction. She started playing volleyball under the guidance of Prefect-of-Games and Coach Keerthi Jayasekera and Haritha Gishan respectively.

After participating in friendly matches and strenuous training she was selected to represent the school in the Divisional, Zonal, District and Provincial Tournament matches. Prarthana played a leading role in helping her school to emerge runners-up at the DSI All-Island Volleyball Tournament in 2019.
