Dhanush to team up with Elan

We had earlier reported that Harish Kalyan-starrer ‘Star’, which was supposed to be directed by Elan of ‘Pyaar Prema Kadhal’ has been shelved as the producer of the film backed out due to financial crisis. While there were reports that Dhanush could be replacing Harish Kalyan in the project, we had reported that Dhanush’s film ELan could be a totally different film as well. Now, the latest buzz is that the film is a fresh script only set in Madurai.

While it was expected that the trio of Harish Kalyan, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Elan would team up again, it would be fresh trio of Dhanush, Yuvan and Elan. We will have to wait for an official announcement since Dhanush has a huge line up of film already. The project is said to be bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films and the shooting will begin by next year.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is already shooting for director Mithran Jawahar’s ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ also produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. He is simultaneously shooting for director Karthik Naren’s ‘Maaran’ as well and is next expected to begin shooting for his bilingual film with director Sekhar Kammula soon.
