Diana removed as SJB Deputy Secretary – MP Madduma Bandara

SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara told Parliament yesterday that MP Diana Gamage has been removed from the position

of Deputy Secretary of the SJB party. He said that the document available on the website of the Election Commission does not state the name of MP Diana Gamage as Deputy Secretary of the SJB.

The MP said this while commenting on a statement made by State Minister Diana Gamage.

He said that he would request Parliament to remove the false statements made by her from Hansard.

He said that taking the Party of someone who prepares fake documents was a mistake made by SJB. We even look at the history before even buying a dog.

“I request IGP and CID to re-examine the signature here. She has said that she is still the Deputy Secretary of SJB. But, She is no more in the SJB. I have the document on the website of the Election Commission. Her name is not there. We have removed her. I came to Parliament after winning 10 consecutive elections. She cannot even come to Parliament if my signature was not there. She got only 2,000 votes in the Provincial Council election. We don’t need to create fake documents for her. We made a mistake, we took a party of people who make fake documents. That was the mistake we made,”he said.
