Domestic held in Rs. 8.5 Mn heist

The Borella Police yesterday arrested a domestic worker following an investigation regarding a theft of Rs.8.5 million from a house in an apartment complex in Borella, Lesley Ranagala Mawatha belonging to a businessman.

Police are told that the theft took place Wednesday (15) between 10 am and 6 pm.

A person working in the house is suspected of stealing this money that was kept in a cupboard in a room of the house. Police said that the suspect, who is a resident of Lunugala, is to be arrested.
