Dompe Kanishta Vidyalaya gets drinking water facilities

The water supply system built by Dompe Rotary Club to meet the drinking water needs of the students of Dompe Kanishta Vidyalaya was opened by President of Dompe Rotary Club, Head of the Physics Department of the University of Colombo and Chairman of the Arthur C. Clarke Centre for Modern Technology Professor Chandana Jayaratne.

A total of 750 students are studying in this school. After the water tank broke down, the students did not have proper drinking water facilities for four years. Following a request by the principal of the school, Major Neil Priyantha, Dompe Rotary Club, with the support of the school development society, built the water supply system at a cost of Rs. 1 million.

Principal Neil Priyantha, Vice President of Dompe Rotary Club Nemesh Sashintha, Tharindi Ellepola, Janaka Jayaratne and Nihal Kalupathirana participated in the event.
