Drivers cautioned as Nuwara Eliya experiences heavy fog

Nuwara Eliya District Disaster Management Centre Assistant Director H.M.M.B. Bandara said that due to the current rainy weather in the district, some areas are experiencing heavy fog and mist and the roads have become slippery, raising the risk of motor vehicle accidents occurring.

Due to the adverse weather, there is heavy fog from time to time in the areas of Watawala, Caralaina, Kadawala, Diyagala, and Ginigathena on the Hatton–Colombo main road, as well as Kotagala, Pathana, Dimbula, Lindula, Radella, Nanu Oya and Nuwara Eliya on the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya main road.
