Drug addicts copped over stolen copper parts
Thalangama Police arrested two drug addicts over the theft of copper parts from lightning conductors and electrical wiring at the National Auditor General’s Department building in Battaramulla.
According to a complaint filed by the Auditor General’s Department with the police, the value of the stolen copper parts is over Rs 2.1 million.
According to Police, the two male suspects, aged 19 and 20, are electricians by profession, and residents of Ethulkotte. They have confessed they sold the copper parts to sustain their addiction.
The two suspects are to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court.
