All round cricketer fourth year player top order left hand bat, Right arm leg spinner with a good arm and a safe fielder in any position, Sri Lanka Cricket Premier Player and Member of the Ladies Development Squad since 2021 and School Athletic Champion, Provincial All Island and Junior John Tarbet colours holder and Junior Most Popular Athlete of the School 2020 Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Dulanga Shamini Dissanayake has brought honour and immense glory to her alma mater Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda with her deeds in the field of Cricket and Athletics.

Dulanga who hails from Kirulaponne Colombo 6 was born on 21 st March 2004 and admitted to Anula Vidyalaya in 2009 when Mrs. Sandya Neelamani was at the helm of the school and her first class teacher was Mrs.Champika. When she was in grade three she participated for the under eleven age group at the school inter house sports meet and swept the board in High Jump, Long Jump and 100 meters and became the champion and participating in the Divisional, Zonal and District she came first in her three events.

Then in the following year too she won all the Lower Tournaments and at the Provincial Meet she won her pet events and awarded colours. Since her commencement to date she is the school Athletic Champion in under 11, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19 and won several times at the Divisional, Zonal District and Province and participating in the All Island Junior John Tarbet she came first in High Jump and won colours in both formats and she was the Junior Most Popular Athlete in 2020 at her school.

In the meantime as she showed an interest and keenness on cricket her parents Shantha Kumara Dissanayake and Piuma Subashini Embuldeniya she was handed over to the School Coach Sahan Devapriya in 2017 and in the following year she was selected to the school under 19 team and in 2019 she played for the school team in the Inter Schools Tournament and claimed 19 wickets and played for the Big Match versus their arch rivals Rathnavali Balika Gampaha and in 2020 too she played for the Big Match and in 2021 there was no Big Match and this year they came up to the finals of the Sri Lanka under 19 Girls Tournament and became All Island Runner up by loosing to Rathnavali Balika and this game turned up to almost a Big Match and her Coaches were Palian Dinesh Weerasinghe and Lalanga Rajapaksha and Prefect of Games is Mrs. H. H. Sriyani and the Principal is Mrs. Ashini Kodituwakku and her elder sister Kavindi Dissanayake was a Member of the school Netball Team and her younger sister Desadi Dissanayake is a Member of the school cricket pool.

She joined the Colombo Colts Ladies Team in 2018 and played in the Premier Tournament Coached by Randika Galhena for two years and now she plays in the Premier Tournament for Ports Authority and the Coach is Dinesh Weerasinghe and she is a Member of the Development Squad since 2021.
