Earth mound collapses – woman killed
A woman has died after a mound of earth collapsed onto a fruit stall in the Rambukwella area, Kandy-Mahiyanganaya main road.
The deceased has been identified as the 37-year-old owner of the fruit stall, a resident of Teldeniya.
The incident has taken place last night (04) and with the help of residents in the area, the woman buried in the mound was found.
The woman was pronounced dead on admission to the hospital.
Futher investigations are being conducted by the Teldeniya Police.
