Education Ministry to provide vocational training courses targeting jobs in Korea

The Education Ministry will take measures to provide vocational training courses, which help Sri Lankans to attract the optimal number of Korean job opportunities in the future.
The Ministry reached this decision following a bilateral discussion held between Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha and the Ambassador of South Korea Myeon Lee at the Education Ministry recently. At the discussion, attention was drawn on the development of educational cooperation, providing professional training opportunities between Sri Lanka and Korea.
Accordingly, the Ministry will be setting up training courses in Sri Lanka to be applicable for optimal Korean vocational training opportunities in the future. Also, Minister Premajayantha was anxious to draw the attention of the Korean Ambassador to the creation of more education and employment opportunities in Korea for the students and workers of this country.
At the discussion, Minister Premajayantha expressed his gratitude to the Korean Government for providing a large number of government job opportunities and vocational training opportunities to Sri Lankan youths. He also highly appreciated the moves of Korea to provide education scholarships for the local workforce.
