Ehelepola bowls Trinity to innings win

Trinity College won over Dharmaraja College by innings and 65 runs in their first 2022/23 inter school traditional under 19 inter school two day encounter which was played at Asgiriya Stadium on Monday and Tuesday. The match was over before lunch on the second day.

Trinity College after winning the toss, invited Dharmaraj College to take their first turn and managed to bowl them out for just 107 runs in 43.1 over’s. Nisal Abeyarthne made 31 and good bowling coming from Vibhavith Ehelepola 3 for 24, Tharana Wimaladarma 3 for 25 and Supun Waduge 2 for 2. Trinity College in their turn went on to score 231 runs in 53 over’s, thanks to Kusal Wihetunga’s 53 and Sinusha Peris 51, Supun Waduge 41 and skipper Rahal Amarasinghe scored 37.

Thisara Wanninayake did well with the ball to take 4 for 50, Dulara Bandulasena 2 for 39 and Rusiru Bandara 2 for 43. The first day ended with both schools batting their first innings. On the second day Dharmaraja College taking their second innings were bowled out for 59 runs in (23. 1 over’s) thanks to some superb bowling coming from Vidhavith Ehelepola 5 for 21, Manula Kularthne 3 for 33.
