Breaking into Prime minister’s office:

Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday ordered to issue notices on 11 suspects,

including Dilsi Liyanage who were not present in court when the case related to illegal entry into the Prime Minister’s office was called. The magistrate ordered that the case be called on May 31 for further reports.

The CID,which had informed the court that it was conducting a special analysis of 99 telephone numbers in relation to the incident of breaking into the private residence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe on July 9, informed court of its progress and submitted the CDs related to the CCTV footage to court. The Criminal Investigation Department informed the court that they have recorded the statements of 662 witnesses regarding the incident and that a comprehensive investigation will be conducted regarding the incident.

A group of suspects who were released on bail regarding the incident also appeared in court yesterday.
