Environment Minister appointed as Vice Chair of 4th Session of the Environment Ministers Forum
Minister of Environment Mahinda Amaraweera has been appointed as the Vice President of the 4th Session of the Environment Ministers forum of the Member States of the Asia Pacific Region of the United Nations Environment Program this morning.
Amaraweera was elected to the Vice Chair post by the Environment Ministers forum of the UN Environment meeting held in Suwon City, Korea today.
Environment ministers and environmental officials from 47 countries in the Asia-Pacific region represented the conference.
The Minister of Environment Mahinda Amaraweera stated that it is an honor for our country to have this post in Sri Lanka.
