Epic knock of 156 by Udara Dhananjaya
An all rounder Udara Dhananjaya of Central College Bandaragama hit a hurricane chanceless 156 runs which enabled them to beat Holy Cross College Payagala by 12 runs in their inter school under 15 division three tournament cricket match played at Alubomulla.
Udara hit 11 fours and 15 sixes and occupied the crease for 59 minutes and faced 59 balls. He scored his 150 runs in 50 balls and it perhaps may be a record. So far he has claimed 38 wickets in 7 outings.
Batting first homesters scored 156 runs with Sandun Dilsara scoring 56 runs and Bandaragama
Centralians were shot out for a paltry 65 runs with Malindu Krishan claiming 7 for 24 and following on Bandaragama lads amassed 224 for 7 declared in 18.5 overs and set to make 225 runs to win Holy Cross were all out for 121 runs with Sachin Sanjula making 57 runs. Mevindu Pahasara captured 7 for 50 and they are coached by Mr. Kusalindu.
