A sparkling chanceless unbeaten 202 runs by opener Thushadi Kaushalya helped Dharmapala Vidyalaya Pannipitiya to beat Marapola Vidyalaya Veyangoda by 61 runs in their inter school under 19 girls cricket tournament match conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and worked off at Veyangoda and perhaps this may be a school record for Dharmapala Vidyalaya Girls Tournament Cricket. Palian Girls are coached by former Dharmapala Vidyalaya Pannipitiya cricketer S. B Senanayake. Thushadhi had 31 hits to the rope and 3 over and occupied the crease for 135 minutes and faced 116 balls and also put on a second wicket partnership of 157 runs with Subodhi Kavya who contributed 33 runs. Batting first Dharmapala scored 267 for 2 in their allotted overs and in reply homesters were 206 for 7 with Malithi Edirisinghe scoring 51 runs.
