Exams Dept in joint effort to hold O/L exam

The Examination Department in coordination with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), Police and the Tri-Forces has put in place special arrangements to make sure the Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination is held without any interruption despite the inclement weather.

Examinations Commissioner General L.M.D.Dharmasena addressing a press conference at the Government Information Department yesterday said all preliminary safety measures have been arranged in areas prone to disasters during the Southwest Monsoon season.

The Ordinary Level exam, which has been delayed for five months will commence on May 23 and around 517,000 students are to sit for the exam at 3,844 exam centres.
